1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies LSTT Solutions Oy ('LostFit', 'we', 'us', 'our') uses on our public marketing website, lostfit.fi (the 'Website'), and why. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

The LostFit Trainer App and Client App are separate products with their own session and authentication cookies, described in the Privacy Policy. This page covers the public Website only.

2. No consent banner, and why

The Website does not show a cookie consent banner. Under the ePrivacy rules implemented in Finland, consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary for a service the user has requested, or that do not involve tracking for advertising or profiling purposes. Every cookie the Website sets falls into one of those categories, as detailed below.

If we ever introduce a cookie that requires consent — for example, an advertising or cross-site tracking cookie — we will add a consent mechanism before that cookie is set, and we will update this policy first.

3. Cookies we use

This is the only cookie set directly by the Website. It stores a single value ('fi' or 'en') and contains no personal data beyond your language choice, and is never sent to any third party.

4. Analytics

We use Umami, a self-hosted, open-source analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the Website — for example, which pages are popular and how visitors found the site. Our Umami instance is hosted on our own infrastructure at analytics.lostfit.fi, and the tracking script is served from our own domain rather than a third-party's servers.

Umami is configured to:

• not set any cookies;
• not store any persistent, cross-session identifier tied to your browser or device;
• respect your browser's Do Not Track setting, when enabled; and
• only report aggregated, anonymised visit statistics — we cannot identify an individual visitor from this data.

Because Umami does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, no consent is required for it under applicable ePrivacy rules.

5. Third-party embeds

Where the Website links out to third-party services — such as app store listings or social media pages — those third parties may set their own cookies once you land on their site. Those cookies are governed by the third party's own policies, not this one, and we encourage you to review them.

6. Managing cookies in your browser

Most browsers let you view, delete, or block cookies through their settings. Because the Website only sets one strictly necessary functional cookie, blocking it will simply mean your language preference isn't remembered between visits — the Website will otherwise continue to work normally.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we change our analytics setup or add new functionality to the Website. We will publish the updated version here and indicate the date of the latest revision at the top of the document.
